In the old days (i.e. a few years ago) celebrities would hire clipping services to keep track of what was being written about them. But you can be your own clipping service by using Google Alerts to keep track of yourself and your projects. Go click that link, type in your name or the name of your band, movie, film, novel…whatever. Now you’ll get updates emailed to you whenever the Google finds a mention. It’s one of the quickest, simplest things you will do today and it can make a big difference. Set up as many alerts as make sense. Find out who’s talking about you and talk right back to ‘em! I love to comment on people’s blogs when they have referenced an article of mine.
