Jamie, it's also possible to pressure presidents to change regarding war. Your problem there is not the politicians, but the fact that voters are partisan hypocrites. Democrats don't mind Arab blood spilled by Obama's orders because Obama is a democrat. GOP voters probably likewise, or perhaps don't see any less bloodlust on behalf of the opposing side. In an ideal world, Ron Paul would be in charge. Our world, however, is far from ideal. In our world your general, though not all voters, run more on partisanship than on personal principle, which is why Gingrich is trumping Ron Paul in the GOP debates. Gingrich's behavior, and his past record, would make him unfit to be president, but the GOP nomination is about who can paint the most despicable picture of Obama, and the other candidates.

Again, Paul has great ideals, but that's his problem, he's an idealist, who in the end, doesn't have the charm for the average American voter. However, despite his unelectability, I do go out of my way to argue for plenty of his individual ideas, especially foreign policy.

I live in Canada and find it really depressing when I have to drive home through Lawrence Park, one of Canada’s ten richest neighbourhoods, and see all those luxurious properties and cars. Most of those people are richer even though I am working longer hours, doing more work, but I still get paid less for it. I guess there are thousands of other people who could claim the same and that is just not right.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_board_game_Monopoly

"In 1903, the Georgist Lizzie Magie applied for a patent on a game called The Landlord's Game with the object of showing that rents enriched property owners and impoverished tenants." - Her original Board had the GO Square saying "Labor Upon Mother Earth Produces Wages"

I think perhaps you should look into things a little more before you spout nonsense... then again you wouldn’t have a blog then huh?

Wacky comment.

Monopoly isn't a reflection of capitalism. For one thing, there are way less taxes.

It's hilarious that a Conservative who touts “free market” libertarian ideals can play Monopoly and then write about it without noticing the obvious purpose of the game, To show that capitalism left to its own devices destroys economies.
Regulation and Taxes is the only curb to the destruction.

Another fave here is "3) Adapt To The Rules" I.E give me a way to get money easier and inject a faster way to get to a monopoly, I don't see you adding any rules that act as money sinks i.e. doubling house prices/increasing penalty amounts. The closest you get is less money to start but that only makes it harder for someone unlucky enough not to hit the cash bonuses.

This is a great post Lee, It shows exactly how the Conservative /Libertarian mind works. Able to look at fundamental problems there ideas don’t fix and find a way to further bend the rules to suit themselves.

It would be nice to use your blog to enlighten some liberals, but it is so fraught with typos that it looks like you either don't proof read it or you don't know how to write.
Thus, my friend, your message becomes unusable.
Please try to proof read before publishing or have someone else look at it.
Thanks,
Marvin
