My last couple of architecture posts have been sleek modern boxes. So now I’m going to do a bit of a fantasy and combine a cool looking library project that someone built with some great looking steampunk stuff I found elsewhere. Looks of links for you to explore.
(If you want some real inspiration, check out the Steampunk home of Bruce and Melanie Rosenbaum right away.)
Part 1: The Victorian Library
First, John Clarke Mills details how he built a Victorian Library – in about a week!
Here’s how it looked a few days in…
Part II : The Steampunk Computer Workstation
Okay, the room is pretty awesome. But I’m a high tech guy – so if it were MY room, I think I’d add some Steampunk!
What better way to keep the Victorian but add some technology and multiply the cool factor by a grillion.
Here’s the all-in-one Steampunk Computer Workstation that Bruce Rosenbaum had commissioned.
And the webcam!
Part III: A Few Miscellaneous Accessories
Just throwing in a couple of ideas…
I dig this iPad case – my son Jack likes the one with the cogs.
Listen to your MP3s with these (working) Steampunk Headphones…
And here’s an impressively ornate steampunk wall clock

Nice post. Love the steam punk. Was at the gym today and a nice steam punk chic with the associated tats was working out at the machine in front of me. I’ve never done so many sets at that machine!
