Night Music: Night In My Veins

Posted by Lee in Interesting

One of my favorite Pretenders songs. Chrissie is dirty, thank god. She’s writing about (outdoor) sexuality from a very female perspective which gives us great rock couplets like “He’s got his hands in my hair and his lips everywhere” and ‘He’s got his chest on my back across a new Cadillac” and ‘I’ve got my head on the curb and I can’t produce a word.’

Yeah!

Thanks for all the music you post! I love reading your blog not only for the intelligent thoughts and opinions, but I think it’s great that you toss in music videos here and there. It’s such a great way to break up the political vibe and keeps me from pulling my hair out. Here’s a video you may have already seen, but it’s one of my favorites. It’s Phish playing Farm Aid and Neil Young joins them for a raging version of Down by the River. If you haven’t seen it before, it’s very much worth the 19 minutes.
