How To Not Deal With Internet Harassment
This page by Knot My Wisonsin about Bill Schmalfeldt and his past harassment is pretty stunning and shows that this behavior by Bill Schmalfeldt against me and others is part of a long pattern of behavior by him.

When you are dealing with someone making criminal threats, you need to treat them like a criminal and not a clown.

Everyone meet Bill aka Shaky. Bill is a crossbreed between Barney Fife internet detective and a King Kong Bundy internet tough guy type. We first came across Bill during the Operation Burn Notice days.
Okay, let’s stop right there.
The insults are a bad idea. This is not just because insults aren’t a substitute for argument. Not just because civility is a virtue. Not just because two wrongs don’t make a right. I understand that insulting him might feel good and make a tough situation fun. But — it’s a bad idea.
It’s a bad idea because it makes the proper course of action-criminal charges-more difficult. It looks like bickering. If a judge or a law enforcement official reads that, it’s someone being insulted for having a disease and called names like “Barney Fife.’
I filed criminal harassment charges against Bill Schmalfeldt because I believe he is a dangerous person with a criminal lack of self-control who has shown he will stop at nothing to destroy strangers. It’s serious.
And here’s the big deal and it’s part of why I’m fighting this : if internet bullies who act in a criminal matter aren’t stopped, they will do it to OTHER people.
Further in the post, Know Not Wisconsin gives some great examples of Bill Schmalfeldt committing actual crimes of criminal harassment and extortion, in my opinion and I’m not a lawyer.
Look at this and remember — Bill Schmalfeldt threatens this woman with losing her kids and a couple of months ago, he actually reported my wife and I to child protective services. In other words, Bill Schmalfeldt MEANS it.
This is not internet tomfoolery and it shouldn’t be treated as such.
The solution is not ‘trolling’. It’s not insulting. It’s taking the threat SERIOUSLY and dealing with it methodically.
For example:
1) Tell them to stop contacting you directly; keep records.
2) If they keep messaging / emailing — either
a) tell them again to stop direct contact and go back to step 1
OR
b) report them to the police.
I Am Threatened On Breitbart Unmasked
On the website BreitbartUnmasked that Bill Schmalfeldt is the editor of, a commenter named “Texas Tim” issued the following threat against me, clearly attempting to keep me from coming to Maryland to meet with the State’s Attorney.
I heard that Stranahan is going to get hammered by something unexpected when he visits Howard County next week. Wish I could say more but I don’t want to scare him away. Lee, Please go to Howard County. You have a welcoming committee.
The post comes in comments; “Texas Tim” is a longtime commenter and Bill Schmalfeldt apparently knows their real identity.
I’ll be contacting the authorities in Maryland about this tomorrow.
@OsborneInk Falsely Blogs That I Was Denied A Peace Order
Matt Osborne aka @OsborneInk wrote a blog post (still live as I type this) that claims I was denied a peace order against Bill Schmalfeldt today and claims that eyewitnesses said the prosecutor compared me and my gang to Westboro Baptist Church.
Which is all strange since I have not yet filed a peace order against Bill Schmalfeldt. It was WJJ Hoge who filed against Bill Schmalfeldt. I wasn’t there. I was in Texas. I had nothing to do with the peace order.
I have pending criminal charges against Bill Schmalfeldt. They have not been dismissed, nor do I believe they will be because Bill Schmalfeldt has admitted to the core elements.
This is as big a journalistic fail as one can imagine. He obviously just made up the ‘eyewitness’ part. Fabricated it. It’s worse than a fail; its a reckless disregard for the truth.
Bill Schmalfeldt Says He Removed Tweets About Brett Kimberlin At Kimberlin’s Request
First, Bill Schmalfeldt tweeted about how he enjoyed meeting Brett Kimberlin today and that he didn’t care about Kimberlin’s past as a convicted bomber, perjurer and drug dealer who did everything he could to avoid paying the widow of the man who killed himself due to Kimberlin’s action. Then Bill Schmalfeldt deleted those tweets. Then, he said he deleted those tweets at someone’s request, but didn’t say who. Now, he says he did it at the request of Brett Kimberlin himself, who wants to avoid ‘publicity.’
Well, how do you think that’s going to work out?
