Bill Schmalfeldt Makes (Up) The News

Bill Schmalfeldt has insisted repeatedly that his defense for months of harassment is that he is a journalist.

No. Journalists do not make up crimes based on a ‘hunch’, report it to the authorities and then report on the story that they just made up as news. Bill Schmalfeldt has done this repeatedly.

This classic Mr. Show sketch is funny. What Mr. Schmalfeldt has done to my family is not but this is the perfect illustration of the concept.

So far, Mr. Schmalfeldt has reported me and my family to:

  • The Dallas Police
  • The FBI
  • The Dallas District Attorney
  • Center for Missing and Exploited Children
  • American Sites Associated with Child Protection
  • Texas Family Protective Services
  • PayPal
  • The Ripoff Report
  • Here’s Bill Schmalfeldt bragging about it:

I asked Stranahan to produce just the one model release form. Then I found the four other suspect photos. Since Stranahan refused to answer my legitimate question about the model release forms, and being the father of daughters, I then turned to the only other resources available to me. The Dallas Police Department, which turned the information over to an investigative unit, the FBI Cyber Crimes unit, the Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the American Sites Associated with Child Protection. Stranahan will HAVE to show the model release forms to THEM.

    And here:

Since learning for a fact that Lee Stranahan did not move after raising money for the explicit purpose of what he called “an emergency relocation”, we have filed reports with the Dallas DA, the Dallas local office of the FBI and the Internet Crimes Center.

Today, we added a fraud report to Pay Pal and a report on a consumer web service called “The Ripoff Report.”

And to Texas Family Protective Services:

I have nothing but suspicions and a gut feeling. But things just do not smell right to me. No, sir. No, ma’am. They do not. I am a father. I am a grandfather. I am an uncle. And I know how children are supposed to be cared for, educated and treated. I know that Lee Stranahan has no visible means of support, other than whatever he is able to grift from stupid people who believe the garbage he writes. I know he is not on the staff of Breitbart.com and if they pay him at all, it’s on a per-story basis.

He reports that an anonymous comment said I’m about to be indicted:

A confidential informant tells Breitbart Unmasked that after registering a complaint with the Dallas Police Department today about the alleged illegal activities of Lee Stranahan, the detective he spoke to conveyed his belief that prosecutors will soon convene a Grand Jury with the object of investigating and, perhaps, bringing an indictment against Stranahan “for a variety of crimes.”

Not a single one of the accusations he makes against me there is true.
I never shot any underage models. I never raised money under false pretenses. (A lot more on that one at some point.) I work for Breitbart News and I’m salaried. I’m leaving out much of the viler and also untrue stuff, much of it about my wife and family.

This is not journalism. It’s a course of conduct designed to seriously annoy, intimidate, and humiliate me. It’s an effort to get me arrested, jailed and have my children taken away. It’s done in concert with other people, including whoever runs Breitbart Unmasked but also a former employer of mine, Brooks Bayne.

It’s not freedom of speech. It’s harassment and I’m taking the legal course available to anyone who has been harassed relentlessly.

    1. Doesn’t Brooks Bayne live in Dallas? It was going around the internet that he once claimed to have reported someone to the Dallas FBI. And to prove it, he posted a picture of the interior seal at the Dallas regional office. Only he screwed up, because the picture he posted, was actually of the interior seal at San Antonio division office. What an amatuer. He can’t even pull off a simple con.

Speaking of cons, didn’t he steal some dead woman’s social security number? And I heard he owed child support too. If Schmalfeldt is so concerned about “the children”, then why hasn’t he reported Brooks Bayne to the authorities? I think perhaps, he doesn’t give a damn about kids.

I think he’s just a crazy stalker. Hell, anonymous thinks he’s a crazy stalker. And when you’ve lost anonymous…the only ones you have left, are those who qualify for an Axis I or II diagnosis in the latest edition of the DSM. And even some of those people think Schmalfeldt’s a crazy stalker.

    2. Schmalfeldt is indeed an unhinged stalker. He may have been semi-legit media back in the day but he has clearly gone whacko. He may have the right to ask Lee questions, but Lee has the right not to anwer them and not to have the police, CPS, etc. called on him with false allegations simply because he refuses to engage with this sicko. The one positive coming out of that is these authorities will see Schmalfeldt for the whack job he is and ignore him going forward.
