I Fear For My Safety : Dangerous Truth About Brett Kimberlin

There is a reason I’m up at 4:48am writing this post.
There is a reason my wife is up at this hour proofreading.
There is a reason we can’t sleep...

[pullquote align=”right”]I believe the months of attacks on me and my family have been in retaliation for Everybody Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day[/pullquote]I’m leaving to talk to the State’s Attorney in Maryland in a few days about the criminal harassment charges I’ve filed against Bill Schmalfeldtand. I have reason to fear for my safety as well as for that of my family and friends and so I think the smartest thing I can do is what I’ve been doing for a few days and write about it.

I want there to be a record of my concerns about the danger of the person who I believe is behind the months of harassment that my family and I have faced at the hands of people like Bill Schmalfeldt — convicted serial bomber Brett Kimberlin.

There are details of some recent events that further validate my concern but they haven’t been revealed yet.

Friends Bill Schmalfeldt & Brett Kimberlin

I believe these attacks on me and my family have been in retaliation for my idea of having Everybody Blog About Brett Kimberlin Day. Before I announced that idea last year, I did due diligence as a writer / reporter about Brett Kimberlin and talked to people connected to the crimes he was convicted of.

What I learned about Brett Kimberlin in my research last year shocked & frightened me. I’m going to share some details of what I learned for the first time in this post.

The man who has been chiefly responsible is Bill Schmalfeldt, who considers himself Brett Kimberlin’s friend, even though he claims to have just met him. In this short clip from a recent podcast, Bill Schmalfeldt says he believes people like me are ‘persecuting’ Brett Kimberlin because they don’t like his politics and that it’s therefore correct that Bill Schmalfeldt defend him. He also indicates that Kimberlin’s supposed commitment to ‘social justice’ redeems him; in other words, Schmalfeldt’s defense of Kimberlin is that he’s a fellow “liberal.”

As you’ll see, however, this is far beyond politics.

However, Mr. Kimherlin’s critics-myself included-are not critical of him for his politics.

My issues with Mr. Kimberlin are based on his vicious and unrelenting attacks on anyone who tells the truth about his violent and despicable criminals acts that he remains completely unrepentant about to this day.

In fact, Kimberlin and his supporters usually claim they never happened and that he was unfairly convicted.

[pullquote align=”left”]His complete lack of remorse and denial of what he did has led him to one consuming goal: revenge. [/pullquote]One of the things I read last year that concerned me is a detail that many people overlook but is truly frightening in its implication : Brett Kimberlin’s plot to kill people, including a prosecutor, while he was in custody.

He didn’t threaten to kill people. He planned it. And this was confirmed to me in phone calls with one of this intended victims, former prosecutor “Buddy Pylitt” and the reporter who covered the story, Joe Gelarden.

This is from the 1981 story published in the Indianapolis Star, which also details the motive police suspected in the bombings; a murder plot where the grandmother of a girl who suspected Kimberlin of molesting her was shot in the head.

Brett C. Kimberlin schemed to elude justice with a series of bizarre plots designed to murder, maim and rob his enemies, create havoc at Speedway and discredit the chief government prosecutor.

These plots occured as lawmen followed the trail of the man who terrorized Speedway with bombs in 1978. They were revealed to the Indianapolis Star last week after a federal jury convicted Kimherlin of the bombings

On sheets of yellow legal pad, Kimberlin asked another inmate in the Marion County Jail to arrange for the murder of Bernard L. (Buddy) Pylitt, the former first assistant U.S. attorney who coordinated his prosecution.

The offer contained a list of 10 names, including a potential prosecution witness, Robert Scott Bixler. Some names had crosses next to them. These indicated those marked for murder, it was learned.

Other names, believed to be persons who cheated Kimberlin in drug deal, were marked with dollar signs. They were to be roughed up and robbed.

I believe Brett Kimberlin is a dangerous person. Today.

His complete lack of remorse and denial of what he did has led him to one consuming goal: revenge. Where is the ‘social justice’ that Bill Schmalfeldt talks about? What Kimberlin has spent most of his time on in the past few years is vengeance for his perceived enemies, people including Andrew Breitbart, Mandy Nagy, Aaron Walker, Patrick Frey, R.S. McCain, Ali Akbar, WJJ Hoge and me.

That revenge has been aimed at me in the form of Bill Schmalfeldt, another revenge bully who has shown no empathy or self-control in his months of attacking me, my wife and my children. Of course he’s Brett Kimberlin’s friend. Of course.
